The FIT internship program provides students with the hands-on experience and knowledge necessary to succeed as a Food Industry Technician.

A FIT internship is a full-time paid position lasting three to six months. Interns have real, meaningful work responsibilities and receive ongoing training and mentoring. In some cases, an internship may count toward academic credit.

Candidates for the internship program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Graduated or completed at least 50% of the educational requirements
  • Completed the FIT Internship Application
  • Completed the FIT Assessment Test

Current Food Industry Technicians may also meet the internship requirement through documented work experience.
